Manor on the Bay is a 12 en-suite room Guest House situated on the sandy white beach of peaceful Gordon's Bay. The house was built in 1862 and served as a summer residence for the famous Beit-family. Oregon floors, high ceilings, the magnificent unsurpassed mountain and sea-view and the private wine-cellar adds to the elegance of this historic manor. The mountain stream, oaks and palm-trees contribute to the tranquillity of the unspoiled garden.

The spacious and uniquely decorated bedrooms all have private entrances, M-Net & Satellite TV, mini-bars, coffee & tea stations, mini-safes, dual-air-conditioning, sea and mountain view and some have fireplaces. Comfortably furnished to compliment our biggest attraction - the view of the bay.

A traditional English and health breakfast is served at the swimming pool (weather permitting) or in the dining room.

Gordon's Bay - the gateway

Gordon's Bay is the gateway to the second most scenic route in South Africa, and is only 30min. from the Cape Town International airport and 45min. from the famous Waterfront. Stellenbosch and the winelands are only 25min. away.

Quality restaurants are within walking distance and golf courses, hiking trails, shopping malls and more white beaches are easily accessible. Horse riding, scuba diving, picnic baskets and sunset cruises will be arranged on request. Whale watching from the patio is possible between August and November.
