Thabana Safari Lodge is built on a hill overlooking Marico Valley, located in the Northwestern Province of South Africa, less than 3 hours drive from Johannesburg, close to Madikwe National Park. With the Enselsberg Mountains in the south, the Dwarsberg Mountains in the north and the Marico River in the east, nature has created an area with breathtaking views and a habitat suitable for most of Africa’s animals and bird species. This secluded Malaria-free area is home to more than 30 species of game and over 200 species of bird.

Thabana Safari Lodge accommodation consists of rustic but luxuriously comfortable chalets. Each chalet comprises of a full bathroom, shower and private sundeck with a spectacular view, lock-up safe, mini bar and tea & coffee making facilities. Unwind in a hot bath, with your favourite drink whilst soaking in the peace and tranquility of the Valley below.

Savour sumptuous meals prepared by the experienced staff with only fresh natural ingredients. Meals are served in the open-air thatched deck area or dine under the stars in the traditional African-style lapa. During the day, cool down and soak in the clean air and scenery at the cliff-hanging swimming pool, sip sundowners with friends whilst sharing sightings and experiences of the day’s adventures, explore the African bush on foot or on an open game viewing vehicle accompanied by professional guides.

Thabana Safari Lodge is home to four of Africa’s Big-5 and is within close proximity to the Sun City Hotel Resort and the City of Gaborone, Capital of Botswana.
