Not so long ago, Upington was the definitive "den of iniquity". It was a place where the most wicked of outlaws like the infamous Scotty Smith (aka George St Leger Lennox), who busied himself with daring highway robberies, horse thievery and illegal diamond trading, could escape the long arm of the law.

Today, almost 100 years later, thousands of visitors from all over the world still seek refuge in Upington. Although no longer running from the law, people now come to Upington to escape the pressures of modern living and to absorb the unique sites and sounds that are the Kalahari.

Secreted in the leafy suburbs of Upington's most exclusive suburb, lies Greenfield Gardens, a tranquil haven from which to venture forth and explore a land rich in natural beauty.

Abel Jacobs and his friendly staff, offer guests a choice of 7 rooms. Self catering and family units (interleading doors) are available. For larger groups a fully serviced self catering 3 bed roomed home is at our guests’ disposal. Conferencing facilities are also available.

All rooms are en-suite, tastefully decorated, air conditioned and fitted with mini bar fridges. The self catering units include microwaves and essential cutlery. DStv channels are available in all rooms. In addition Greenfield Gardens boasts a beautifully manicured garden and well maintained pool to relax in. Private braai facilities are also available for our guests' convenience.

Hearty breakfasts are served daily and dinners are by arrangement at award winning local establishments.

Greenfield Gardens is within easy reach of the CBD (5min), airport (10min), golf course and casino (5min), private hospital (2min) and Orange River (2min).
