Namaqua Game Lodge is situated next to the N7 Highway from Cape Town to Windhoek, Namibia, approximately 25km south of Springbok & 520km from Cape Town.

This area is, as the rest of Namakwaland, famous for its wild flowers display in spring when thousands of tourists enjoy this spectacular beauty.

Our thatched roof homestead is now a fully operational Bed & Breakfast with seven luxury en-suite bedrooms each with its own private entrance leading from a courtyard. The rooms are fitted with fridge and coffee/tea facilities.

The peaceful atmosphere and enticing pool makes this the ideal stopover from and to Namibia.

One of our many features is the 4x4 trail's we have.

The Game Lodge offers outdoor 4x4 camping among Springbok, Gemsbok, Eland, Kudu, Zebra, Ostrich, Blesbuck, Klipspringer, Steenbok and Duiker. Wild bird species are also numerous to be seen, especially different breeds of Eagle.

Others include Quad Bike trails, mountain bike trails, hiking trails and a variety of wild game to view in an unspoilt environment with interesting historical features, such as one of the original routes followed by the Voortrekkers called "Burke's Pass" and the former Northern Boundary of the Cape Colony until 1804 known as the "Buffels River". Also on the farm is an historical tree called the "Raadsboom" which was the first meeting place for the district council to meet in the early 1900’s. Other historical features of importance are clay-built ovens where earlier travellers baked their bread while travelling through Namakwaland and Bushmanland. The earlier farmers used the trekroete through the farm for their sheep and cattle in the winter to the West Coast, returning during summers to the Bushmanland.

Night drives can also be arranged to see "night life" and predators like jackal and other animals including porcupine, bat-eared foxes, links, aardvark, etc.

Other sightseeing attractions are the diamond operations on the West Coast, the picturesque town of Hondeklipbay, Port Nolloth, Alexanderbay and the Orange River. Day trips to and from these sights are possible from the farm. For the avid fisherman Yellow-fishing trips can be arranged to the Orange River at Vioolsdrif in the Richtersveld.

Due to no light pollution and natural "darkness" on the farm and surrounding areas, this is the ideal place for any stargazer to drift into the stars.

Warm Namaqualand wishes.
