Dorpshuis guest accomodation is situated in De Aar, the main town of the upper Karoo. It is half and hours drive from Hanover(N1) or Britstown(N12). It is an ideal stopover on the following routes. Halfway between P.E and Upington/Kalahari on the N10 to Namibia. N1 North-South: Turn off the N1 at Bloemfontein on the N8, off the N8 at Petrusburg and take the R48 to De Aar for a relaxed quiet alternative for the N1 to Three sisters. A moderately longer route, by light traffic and tarred roads. En route you can see, small quiet karoo towns(Koffiefontein, Luckhoff, Petrusville, Phillipstown) The highest dam wall in the country: Van Der Kloof dam
