Oranje Guest Farm is a 1 200-hectare working farm, amongst the beautiful mountains of the eastern Free State in South Africa, located between Fouriesburg and Clarens, near the border of Lesotho.

Imagine a setting for a break-away, a wedding or special occasion in a valley created by the Maluti Mountains on the one side and the Rooi (Red) Mountains on the other side.

Imagine sandstone cliffs coloured by nature in hues of tan, yellow, brown, black, with the late afternoon sun adding that spectacular orange glow on the majestic sandstone rock cliffs. Imagine cattle, sheep and horses grazing peacefully in the abundant valley.

GUEST FARM

This is Oranje Guest Farm, situated 20 kilometres from Clarens on the R711 - The most picturesque route in South Africa. The stately homestead for the guests and renovated sandstone barn for functions were built when the cost of building, time and space were not a consideration and craftsmanship was still a matter of pride.

ACCOMMODATION

The rondawel, family rooms, bridal-suite and bedrooms in the restorated farmhouse, all have their own entrance, TV., electric blankets, safe, hairdryer, heater and hospitality tray. Fishing, mountain climbing and hiking. Log fires in winter. With its panoramic view, the veranda is ideal for barbeques or sundowners.

Oranje is 3½ hours drive from Johannesburg and 4½ hours from Durban.
