![]() Lord Fraser … the name itself evokes images of days gone by … of aristocracy and good living … of an atmosphere of old leather, fine cognac and times when life seemed easier and less complicated… Previously Lord Fraser Guest House was the summer residence of the well-known, blind Lord Ian Fraser of Lonsdale. He was the chairman of the board of the once powerful retail business, Fraser’s in Lesotho.
In keeping with the style of Lord Fraser we, the hosts and staff, are dedicated to making your stay a memorable an aristocratic experience. Upon arrival you are shown your beautiful suite where you will be able to relax from your journey, set aside the modern day stress and enjoy the luxury that is The Lord Fraser Guest House. You will enjoy drinks in the Stable or gardens and take a cool swim in the pool.
That evening you will dine in style. Our cuisine is of the highest standard. After dinner you may retire to the patio to enjoy a nightcap of cognac or liqueur. On waking up the next morning, feeling refreshed and invigorated, you can enjoy a hearty farm-style breakfast ready to resume your journey or enjoy the attractions in the area or neighbouring Lesotho.
Each double suite was carefully restored to its original style and tastefully decorated to create the authentic feeling. 18 Suites are available 8 Suites are in the old Fraser House.
Conference facilities (for 40 people) are available in a peaceful atmosphere.
Recreation facilities are numerous. For the more adventurous there is a mountain-cycle route and 4 x 4 route used by the Caledon 400 Rally. The latter has been recognised internationally. Anglers can enjoy excellent angling at two state-owned dams as well as at farm dams. Tennis facilities are also available. To enjoy the facilities please supply your own equipment.
