River lodge-style, thatched luxury accommodation on the banks of the Sundays River only 2 km away from the Addo Elephant Park's southern gate.

The Happy Jackal offers a choice of five luxurious double en-suite rooms, all with stunning river views. Guests may choose from ground-floor rooms with private entrances and garden patios, or impressively large and comfortable thatched upstairs rooms, one of which has its own outside thatched deck. All rooms have upmarket facilities including satellite TV covering all sports.

Extensive lawns stretch down to the riverside and jetty, while unspoilt bush is the habitat of Kudu on the opposite banks.

Breakfasts cater to all tastes and include both English and Health Breakfast with a Continental Breakfast an option. Home-made preserves,bread and muffins accompany our own blend of strong coffee. Packed lunches, picnic baskets, and evening meals are by arrangement.

Activities include game viewing, game drives, birding, canoeing, cycling, swimming, boating, fishing, dune-climbing. Area is totally malaria-free.
