Walkerbouts Inn is a spacious Country Retreat in the historic village of Rhodes. Spacious bedrooms with en-suite facilities, restaurant adjacent to the pub that boasts a wood-fired pizza oven, fine country cuisine and hospitality in the best traditions of the "Plattelend" make it a home-from-home.

The property was also the site of the first hostelry in Rhodes, originally known as the Royal Hotel, which burnt to the ground shortly after the turn of the century. A dwelling was subsequently rebuilt on the site and served several generations until converted into a hostel for the local school. This was closed in the mid-seventies and the dwelling reverted to domestic use until more recent times to serve its' present purpose. A new extension houses a comfortable lounge, a sun-drenched haven in the chilly winter which is adjacent to the dining area.

Walkerbouts is also the home of the Highland Brewery whose fine beer is available on tap in the pub and great cheese available with meals in the restaurant.

This establishment specialises in catering for fly-fishers and those with an interest in the wide range of the area's outdoor activities during the summer months. Winter also sees those attracted by the snow and skiing at the nearby Tiffindell Ski Resort. Walkerbouts is within easy walking distance of the local general dealer, post office, hotel and the Bell River. In fact, it is less than 15 minutes walk from the opposite end of the village. Alpine flowers, rock art, mountain biking/4x4 and quad bike routes, birdwatching, walks and stunning montane scenery are but a few of the attractions in the area.
