SeaGulls is situated in a sub tropical zone, and is in a summer rainfall area. Ideal holiday weather the year round. Many people believe that winter is not the time to holiday in S.A. Wrong, Some of our best weather is from March to the end of July. The days are warm and sunny, and berg breezes bring us temperatures of up to 33 celsius. By and large SeaGulls is an all-the-year-round holiday resort.

Seagulls is the southernmost of all the "Old Transkei" wild coast hotels and is only footsteps away from the beach. Rod and Annetjie Dewberry have owned the hotel business since 1994. Although, like most Transkei coastal hotels, the buildings are old. Rod & Annetjie continue to add to the amenities and provide clean, comfortable accommodation, and excellent beds with Sheraton bed linen and drapery. You have a choice of double en-suite bedrooms, family en-suite suites, and our elevated Panorama Suite with a 180-degree view of the bay.

Buffet-cum-table d' hote breakfasts include, fruit juice; fruit; a selection of cereals; a choice of porridges; a breakfast dish; eggs to order; grilled bacon; toast and an assortment of jams and marmalades - all rounded off with tea or coffee. Dinner is a five-course meal of succulent home-cooked dishes. At midday an optional, comprehensive pub-lunch menu is offered, and day-trippers also, regularly partake of Seagulls' excellent fare. The Saturday night Seafood evening, and the Sunday Wildcoast Braai are to die for!
